San Arnulfo, born in a privileged environment of what we know today as southwest France, had all the winning letters. In 582, his well -positioned family decided that it would be better for the young man to start a future in the court of King Teodeberto II. In 627, Arnulfo decided to end his busy episcopal life and retired to a monastery near Remiremont, where he found his definitive peace in 640. But his story would not end there.

Shortly after his death, the Metz community requested that his body be exhumed and transferred to the city. During the hot trip, the group decided to pause in mushrooms, and its short provision of beer became a memorable abundance thanks to Arnulfo’s magical intercession. A simple desire for ‘the Beer flow’ led to the jug never emptying and that everyone could enjoy the golden elixir.
