Beer powder? Health to German innovation!

by David Martín Rius

From monasteries to the table: the dusty beer trip

Imagine that the German brewery monks, known for their meticulous beer art, have decided to transform their legacy into a dehydrated version: beer powder! Klosterbrauerei Neuzelle, a monastic brewery located at the doors of Munich, has undertaken a bold trip by creating this innovative product that promises to be an ally of the environment.

A factory of ideas: the spark behind innovation

Thanks to a generous financing of the BMWI, these visionaries have spent two years investigating how to adapt traditional beer elaboration techniques to dehydrate this beloved golden liquid. His method not only respects the ancient art of beer, but seeks to revolutionize the way we think about its production.

Resources in the sights

Literate cherries and transforming the art of fermentation, the Klosterbaerei team emphasizes that the main objective is to significantly reduce the costs and resources necessary to produce beer. Stefan Fritsche, the leader of this adventure, emphasizes that beer is actually 90% water, so each liter transported implies a considerable waste of this valuable liquid.

Challenges in acceptance: a dehydrated beer without compromises

Although it is understandable that some beer purists can raise the eyebrows before this innovation, Neuzeller Klosterbräu’s equipment ensures that the fact that it is a dehydrated product does not mean that quality should be subtracted. In fact, it is an alcohol -free beer loaded with dextrines, which guarantees a powerful and satisfactory flavor without the typical alcohol -related concerns.

Looking to the future: a global vision

The plan is bold and intelligent: they not only want to conquer the palate of the typical German consumer, but their sights are put in resellers around the planet, especially in Asia and Africa. This is because the transport economy can be a high cost in beer production. Powder beer, being lighter and more compact, is presented as the perfect solution for an expanding market.

Next steps: toast for the future

Among the short -term plans is the incorporation of alcohol into this innovative formula, which would open the doors to an even broader market within Europe. The team is determined to position its product in an independent niche, creating a completely new and disruptive beer experience. So, Chin-Chin for the beer monks in Germany and their new adventure in the world of beer powdered!
